I received 2 types of Mag Pads in my box, what is the difference?
One Pad is a thinner Single-Use Mag Pad that has strong 3M tape for a single long term use. The other is our Reusable Nano Suction Mag Pad, which allows you to switch between devices using Nano Suction Technology. You can reuse this Pad hundreds of times with different devices. These allow you to share power with your friends by temporarily putting it on friends' phones so that they can use your charger and then just remove it when they’re done. You don’t have to stop your phone fun with friends, just share a Nano Pad to help them keep going.
Is it a must to use the Magnetic Pad to charge my phone or can I charge a device without it?
You can charge any wireless device without using the Mag Pads. The pads are designed to allow you to charge perfectly without risking placing your phone out of the charging range.

The Reusable Nano Mag Pad can collect dust and oils over time which can cause loss of strength. However, the great thing about this Nanotechnology is that it is easily fixed. All you have to do is wash it off with lukewarm water and let it dry for a couple minutes and it should be good as new.

- Make sure you plug the USB-C Cable all the way in, there are 2 steps to push it in so be sure to push it all the way till you see the LED lights start blinking.
- Make sure your phone case is not too thick (Supported phone cases thickness are up to 3mm). My phone feels a little warm when charging, should I be concerned?
No. It’s normal for your phone to get slightly warm when charging wirelessly, so this is nothing to worry about. All SoloQi products have passed appropriate safety tests. When using a regular plug-in charger, you’ll notice that the charger, cube, or even your laptop warms up a little. It’s the same with wireless charging. Heat is a natural side effect of the transfer of energy from one source to another.
How does wireless charging work?
Wireless charging works by magnetic induction. Inductive charging systems transfer energy between coils by magnetic fields. Energy is transferred through inductive coupling.
Is cable charging faster than wireless charging?
SoloQi offers both solutions. When choosing between the two, you have to ask yourself which is more important: speed or convenience? If you like your devices to charge quickly, you can use the cable to power your phone with the SoloQi PRO via its USB output.
What happens if I put a piece of metal on my phone or phone case?
The charger does not start charging. The transmitter of a wireless charging system can detect if a piece of metal is located on its surface (foreign object detection). In this case, the transmitter either does not start charging at all or it stops charging. To allow charging, remove any metal from your phone or phone case.
How should I place my phone on the charger?
The key thing to remember is that the part of your phone that allows inductive charging is in the center back of your phone. So, place your phone face-up on any of the SoloQi wireless chargers. It will charge your phone with or without the SoloQi Mag Pad. However, to optimize performance, make sure the phone is placed in the middle of the charger. We wanted to make it easy for you to place the the SoloQi Mag Pad in the proper position, so we provide you with an alignment pad. Please use the alignment pad to affix the Mag Pad on the back side of your phone or phone case.
How do I know my device is charging?
The charging symbol, usually a lightning bolt, appears on your phone indicating that it's charging. We recommend checking your device’s manual for the exact symbol, light and/or sound that indicates that your device is charging. Typically your phone will go into standby while charging, just tap your phone to check if it is still charging.
How do I know my SoloQi PRO or SLIM is recharging?
The PRO and Slim both have 4 blue LED indicators on the side near the on/off button. These let you know how much charge is left in the battery for use. Also, when charging they initially flash for a few seconds to indicate recharging is occurring. After a few seconds the PRO will stop flashing, this does not indicate that it has stopped charging. We designed it so that if you are recharging on your bedside table when you go to sleep, that the SoloQi will not be flashing disrupting your sleep. If you want to check the status of your recharging just press the on/off button once and it will light up again. The SLIM’s LED lights, on the other hand, keep flashing until it’s fully charged.
Can I leave my phone case attached while charging?
Yes, in most cases. All SoloQi wireless chargers work with nonmetal lightweight cases. However, if your case is thick and bulky, more than 3-4 mm, such as some Otterboxes, it may not work.
Is my device compatible? Does my phone have built-in Qi compatibility?
Find out if your smartphone is or can be made compatible with the Qi standard by viewing our list of all phones with wireless charging.
What is wireless charging?
Wireless charging occurs when power is transferred via electromagnetic induction. Whereas with traditional charging you require a cable for the power to transfer. Utilizing electromagnetic fields to transfer power eradicates the need for wire.
All you need for wireless charging is a Qi-certified phone and a Qi charging device, like our SoloQi products.
What is True Wireless Charging?
This is a term we use for the SoloQi SLIM device as it's the only charger in the world to include a USB plug built directly into the device. SoloQi Slim doesn’t require any cables and can be recharged using any USB outlet making it a True Wireless Charging device.
What is Fast Wireless charging?
Some phones and wireless chargers support fast charging such as SoloQi X Car | Desk Mount. With fast wireless charging, the battery is simply charged faster resulting in shorter charging times.
Is wireless charging safe?
Wireless charging systems are bound by a set of rules and regulations related to electromagnetic interference (EMI/EMC), sometimes called “radio disturbance”, and magnetic fields. All SoloQi products are certified to meet these rules and regulations by FCC, CE and ROHS. So, is wireless power safe? Yes, all kinds of precautions have been taken to ensure your safety.
What is Qi?
Qi is currently a global standard like Bluetooth, NFC, USB and WIFI. The Qi standard was first released in 2008 as the new open interface standard that utilizes inductive charging to enable wireless power transfer. The name derives from the Chinese principle of “vital force” or ‘’vital energy’’. It is one of the central principles in traditional Chinese culture.

USER TIPS:
SoloQi X Car|Desk Mount
Inside the box you will find your User Manual on top, your new SoloQi X Car| Desk Mount, which you can easily lift out with the help of the ribbon tab and the small box of accessories. The small box contains: 1 USB-C charging cable, 1 Single Use Mag Pad, 1 Reusable Nano- suction Mag Pad, one Alignment Pad template, and inside the little envelope: 1 wet cleaning wipe (green side), 1 dry cleaning wipe (pink side), and 3 circular base mount stickers (red 3M backing).
Decide where you want to use your X. Wherever you choose to place your X be sure it is near a USB port, such as a wall cube, where you can plug your USB-C cable into from the edge of the X mount (see the user manual picture for reference). If the 3 foot USB cable included is not long enough, we offer 6 foot cables on our website as well.
To utilize the X mount’s fast wireless charging speed, it needs to be connected to a fast charger such as a standard USB cube or a car cigarette lighter adapter (sold separately).
If you are using it in the car, we recommend plugging it into a 2.4Amp cigarette lighter adapter as the speed will be faster than plugging it into the car’s built-in USB port.
If you are placing your X on a flat surface, first wipe down the surface with the wipes provided to remove any excess dirt and oils to ensure proper adhesion takes place (use number 1 wet wipe first and then number 2 dry wipe). Next, remove the sticker backing on the base of the X and place it firmly on the surface.
If you are placing your X on the car vent, unscrew your base by turning it counter-clockwise to reveal the vent mount. Simple push your soft rubber vent mount into the vent and the strong spring will hold it in place.
In any case, you can adjust the angle of your X at any time to fit your needs at a moment’s notice.
SoloQi PRO
Inside your box will first see your new SoloQi PRO. Next you’ll find your User Manual. Underneath the foam you will find 1 USB-C charging cable, 1 Single Use Mag Pad, 1 Reusable Nano- suction Mag Pad, and one Alignment Pad.
Although SoloQi products arrive partially charged and ready to be used, we do recommend charging them fully before their first use. You simply plug the PRO into a USB port with the cable provided.
Your PRO’s LED battery indicators will start flashing for a few seconds to indicate that it has started to recharge. Then it will stop flashing, if you wish to check how full your charger is, simply push the on/off button once and the blue lights will show you- all 4 lights lit and not flashing means it is full.
The wireless charging mechanism in your phone is located in the middle back of your phone. Proper Mag Pad placement helps you to line-up your phone for charging to occur when using the SoloQi. We at SoloQi wanted to make this as easy as possible for you, by providing an alignment pad that helps you to easily place the Mag Pad on your phone or phone case so that you can line-up your device dead on, every time.
Place the alignment pad on your phone or phone case centering it with the help of the guide, peel the backing off the Mag Pad and center it in the template and press it firmly onto the phone/ phone case.
You are now ready to go. Just place your phone on the PRO and you’re charging.
You can recharge your PRO and phone or other devices at the same time as well. We recommend using your built-in kickstand when you do so.

Keep in mind that your kickstand on the SLIM is child-proof. It easily comes on and off without damaging your product.
Although SoloQi products arrive partially charged and ready to be used, we do recommend charging them fully before their first use. You simply plug the SLIM into a USB port with the cable provided or directly into any USB port with the built-in USB.
Notice that the SLIM’s LED battery indicators will start flashing to indicate that it has started to recharge. Unlike the PRO whose LED turns off after 5 seconds, the SLIM LED lights are always on while charging. The reason for that is to be able to see the charging status from a distance, for example; while waiting for the SLIM to recharge in an airport charging station.
When the LED lights stop flashing, it means that the battery is full.
